ROBBER MISTAKENLY KILLS HIS COHORT
A 29-year-old woman was wounded in the arm when the gun of a man robbing her accidently went off. The accidental gun shot also killed a second robber while he was trying to snatch the woman's bag. The dead robber's identity was not known, but police said he was about 30 years old. The victim lost a cell phone, US$500 and a diamond ring to the one robber who managed to escape.

POLICE REPORT SIX CAUGHT USING DRUGS
Police on Friday arrested six alleged gangsters in Sun Liheng Guest House in Tuol Kork district, Phnom Penh, for allegedly using illegal drugs. During a raid on their room, police found five "yama" pills and a small package of "ice" methamphetamine.

Two killed in crash with novice trucker
Two people died and one person was injured when a truck collided with three motorbikes on Friday morning in Baray district, Kampong Thom province. Leang Chamreoun, 21, from Treal village and commune, Baray district, and Pang Chamreoun, 18, from Rumcheik village, died. Thuong Pov, also from Rumcheik village, was severely wounded and taken to hospital. Police said the truck driver was inexperienced and stepped on the clutch instead of the brake. He then escaped.

FACTORY WORKER CHOPPED BY AXMEN
An M&V factory worker was severely wounded when he was attacked by two people with axes on his way home from work on Thursday in Trapaing Raksa village, Kampong Chhnang. Police said the victim is Soth Kimsan, 21, from Taing Bompong village, Rolear B'ier commune. The reason for the attack was not clear, police said.

FAKE SHOPPERS ROB CLOTHING STORE
Two armed men robbed a clothes store in Preah Sihanouk Friday after pretending to shop for clothes. Bun Heng, a worker at the shop, lost two cellphones, a diamond necklace, a pair of diamond earrings, two diamond rings and a diamond watch. The robbers fled the scene.

Thieves steal phone Mid-Call
Two people were arrested for snatching a cellphone from a 21-year-old waitress while she was walking and talking at the same time at the Democratic Park in Chaktomuk commune, Daun Penh district, Phnom Penh, on Thursday evening. The suspects were students in their early 20s.
