As many as 190 children from Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia will take part in a summer camp for children in Ho Chi Minh City from August 10-14.

During the camp, the children will pay floral tribute to late president Ho Chi Minh at a museum named after him and visit Nha Rong Wharf where President Ho left for national salvation and Vietnam History Museum.

They will also visit the Sac forest-a former revolutionary base-in Can Gio district, Cu Chi tunnels and Ben Duoc temple, join in a cultural exchange programme with local children, and enjoy activities at the Dam Sen Cultural Park.

This is part of activities held by Ho Chi Minh City to mark the 2010 ASEAN when Vietnam is currently chairing the 10-member bloc. It will also provide an excellent chance for the children from 3 countries to understand more about these countries’ people and culture.
