The Tennis Federation of Cambodia launches its “Learn Tennis with the Best” junior programme today, which is set to run over the next six weeks at the National Training Centre.
The federation’s newest venture is based on carefully crafted pay-to-learn training sessions Monday to Friday with national head coach Braen Aneiros and his coaching staff, as well as the Kingdom’s top players.
The programme is open to boys and girls in the age group of 7 to 18 years old, and the students are free to pick how many days per a week they would like to train. According to Braen Aneiros, who also doubles up as TFC Technical Director, the trainees are to be placed in three distinct age groups; red, orange and green.
The red group deals with players in the 7-to-10 years old category, teaching them motor skills, coordination and basic tennis. The 11-to-14 year old orange group is about basic stroke production, technique and scoring, and the 15-to-18 year old green group will also work on game strategy.
Training once a week for six weeks costs US$85 per player, two sessions $155, three lessons $215, and four times a week $265.
