Prisoner killed by fellow inmates in Battambang
A 25-year-old prisoner has been killed after his fellow inmates turned on him on his fifth day in a Battambang prison. Prison officials said the man, who was imprisoned to cure a drug addiction, was “very cruel” and had tried to kill another prisoner, after which his fellow inmates attacked him en masse. Prison officials said they arrived on the scene too late to stop the beating. The man was sent to hospital but died on arrival.
