The Cambodian Baseball Federation (CBAF) will host a fund-raising dinner in Phnom Penh this Sunday to mobilise funds for the national team currently training at the Balaingk Sports Complex in Kampong Thom province. The CBAF’s gala dinner at BBQ Party Restaurant, located on the corner of Monivong Boulevard and street 86, will be held between 6pm and 9pm and will cost US$12 per head. According to CBAF President Joe Cook, all contributions and donations will go directly towards the team’s food expenses during their training sessions in preparation for the SEA Games in Indonesia this November. As many as 12 players from the team will travel from Kampong Thom to Phnom Penh to attend the dinner as well as participating in a baseball clinic for children at the Olympic Stadium on the same day from 11am to 3pm.
