We just wanted to give you some feedback our trip to Cambodia and share a few photos and thoughts. Our time in Phnom Penh was both confronting and touching. We spent time with Peter Gray and Nari, one of CCASVA’s social workers, walking through one of the biggest slums in the city.

The poverty was devastating and it was hard to believe that people exist in such conditions. Yet, they do and they survive and they are happy in the most part. It was the abandoned children that tore at our hearts the most. They cannot defend themselves and they are the ones who are most likely NOT to survive in these areas – and that is where CCAVA comes.

We went straight from there to the CCASVA centre and met with all of the children – this was an amazing experience. They are the most endearing fun filled children – because they feel safe and loved!
