Phnom Penh -Cambodian police said on Tuesday they were searching for a South Korean man who allegedly shot a compatriot in the northern city of Siem Reap at the weekend. Regional police chief Min Cha Tha said authorities had information on the whereabouts of Hun Kany, 46, who they said fled the city after shooting and seriously wounding fellow South Korean Hyun Duck during an argument around midnight Sunday.
The two men are co-owners of a shoe manufacturing company in Siem Reap, the police chief said.
"We have obtained information on Hun Kany's location and will make an arrest shortly," he said.
South Korean companies account for a significant portion of foreign investment in Cambodia and dominate much of the country's garment manufacturing, finance and property sectors.
