Ireland-based mobile services provider, Anam, has announced that two unnamed operators in Cambodia and Estonia have signed up for its Smart Services Applications for SMS (Smart SMS).
The two new operators join networks in Taiwan, Vietnam, and Ireland who recently signed up to Smart SMS.

Financial details of the transactions were not revealed.

Jote Bassi, Anam’s vice president of global sales and marketing, said: “These deals stress the value and importance of our Smart Services solutions.

“They also highlight the dedication of our worldwide team and support staff as even more international operators are now successfully using our technology to offer new services to their subscribers.”

Smart SMS allows networks to increase SMS revenue by offering extra SMS services.
Additional services provided by Smart SMS include SMS Money Transfer, which enables customers to send money to a friend through a simple SMS; Messaging Plus, which enables emails to be sent and received via SMS; and Parental Control, which allows parents to see the messages their children are sending.

In related news, Anam recently announced a new pricing model for SMS infrastructure products that removes traffic licence fees for SMS, enabling operators to provide extra SMS services without having to buy additional SMS traffic licences.
