Group 78 residents filed a complaint to the government, asking them to stop the Cintri sanitation company dumping garbage on their contested land, residents told the Post on Monday. "We have sent an intervention letter to the Ministry of Environment and the Tonle Bassac commune chief to stop Cintri company activity on our land," said Lim Sambo, a Group 78 representative. "They dump garbage everywhere. We cannot live because of the bad smell. We cannot sleep well, and it affects our health," he added. Khat Narith, the Tonle Bassac commune chief, said that he had not yet received the letter, but he had asked his staff to clean the rubbish in the area.
