A FRENCH national has been arrested on suspicion of having sex with an underage boy in Preah Sihanouk province, police said Wednesday.
He was arrested on Tuesday after anti-human trafficking police were tipped off, said Suon Sophann, deputy director of the Preah Sihanouk Anti-Human Trafficking and Juvenile Protection Office. “We are preparing the documents to send him to court,” he said.
Staff with the NGO Action Pour Les Enfants (APLE) say they saw the man having sex with a 13-year-old boy. “Since he arrived, he has persuaded boys on the beach to have sex with him in exchange for money,” APLE director Samleang Seila said.
