The Ministry of Public Works and Transport has pledged to shut down the Kingdom’s more than 40 unlicensed driving schools unless they register, a ministry official said. Preab Chanvitol, the chief of the ministry’s Land Transportation Department, said officials had issued a warning about the pending closures during a meeting with driving in-structors on Wednesday. “We will organise expert teams of officials to control every driving school across the country in order to educate them about the importance of having licences, because we need registration to trust the quality of teaching,” he said. Preab Chantivol said there were 91 driving schools, both licensed and unlicensed, operating nationwide.

This is not only because it is smart to be driving a car, but because it is something that is absolutely essential. It is of the utmost importance that you keep in mind that even if there are a lot of people around you who can actually drive, it still does not compensate for the fact that you are not able to drive.
