TRADELABS PLC has signed a deal with Winsoft Co for distribution of algorithmic betting products for casinos and Web sites, but a company official told the Post late Tuesday that the complex nature of the product has dissuaded potential customers from signing up.
TradeLabs creates algorithms for automated futures trading, along with gambling software and has approached Cambodian casinos to act as middlemen for high-end gamblers in international computer gaming. Winsoft is Cambodia’s Microsoft distributor.
Gambling algorithms help players determine odds, giving them an edge in online gaming, said Pily Wong, TradeLabs Cambodia manager. Gamblers play in virtual casinos while real casinos facilitating the play take a cut of the winnings.
“The software is not sold to casinos or Internet betting Web sites, but we install it for them and share profits won from international betting,” said Wong. “We have introduced this to many casinos in Cambodia, but they’ve shown no interest.
“They don’t understand this. This is a big concern for us to start up this project,” he said, adding that the players need to deposit a minimum US$50,000 to bet.
