Elixir changes name

ELIXIR Gaming Technologies, which runs up to 670 gaming machines at Phnom Penh's sole casino NagaWorld, has changed its name to Entertainment Gaming Asia. The change came as the firm planned to expand beyond gaming machines to build its first casino in Cambodia’s Takeo province, it said in a release. The firm will continue to trade on New York’s AMEX exchange under the EGT ticker symbol.

Loran announces deal to export jasmine rice

LORAN Import Export Company has signed an agreement to export 820 tonnes of jasmine rice worth US$762,600 to Europe by the end of August. Lim Bun Heng, company president, said Loran would export 500 tonnes to Portugal, 110 tonnes to France, 110 tonnes to Switzerland, and 100 tonnes to Italy for US$930 per tonne, shipped via Sihanoukville Autonomous Port.
