MAN HANGS HIMSELF AFTER FAMILY CRITICISM
A man hanged himself with his own T-shirt in Kandal province on Sunday after his family criticised him for being drunk and bickering with his siblings, according to the man’s family. The victim’s mother reported that her son returned from his construction job drunk on Sunday when he started arguing with his family. She criticised her son for provoking the argument, which is when he apparently took his black T-shirt and hung himself from a mango tree. A cow guard discovered the man’s lifeless body hanging from the tree about 10 hours later.

COPS SAY RAPE SUSPECT IS VICTIM'S NEIGHBOUR
Police say a 22-year-old Battambang man accused of raping an 18-year-old girl on Sunday is actually her neighbour. The girl’s father had asked the neighbour to drive his children home on Monday because he was drunk. It seemed a sensible idea at the time. But when the girl discovered that her motorbike did not work, the suspect told the girl’s brother to take his own motorbike home and that he would stay with the girl and fix the motorbike. That’s when he allegedly raped her, according to police.
