PEPY Tours' offerings should be viewed as adventures first and volunteer opportunities second. PEPY wants travellers to experience a true adventure and also have a chance togive back to the magnificent people and areas they visit. Siem Reap, Cambodia, November 4, 2008 - Today PEPY Tours announces 2009 dates for its volunteer vacations in Cambodia. Volunteers that want toget away from the masses, buthey also want a unique travel experiencewill enjoy PEPY's tours which are designed to engage the participant, lake them think, and get them involved in the community Currently, the average length of stay for those visiting Cambodia is less than three days.

Most tourists come to see the wondrous temples Angkor (which can no longer be considered "off-the-beaten path"),perhaps spend a day at the historical sites around the capital of PhnomPenh, and then move on to their next destination without exploring therest of this magnificent country. And while the increased number ofvisitors to Angkor each year is good for the nation's tourism industry, the benefits do not always reach a broad range of people. The influx oftourists can also have negative consequences for Cambodia's environment, society, and culture.

Obviously no trip to Cambodia could be complete without a visit to Angkor, so called "the heart and soul of the nation." However, PEPY Tours takes you beyond these sites-you can volunteer for a few days witha PEPY partner, cycle back roads through rice paddies, visit a riverdolphin conservation project on the Mekong, or check out a women's development center and their silk production initiative. PEPY Tourstakes you into the real heart of Cambodia, giving you an opportunity to interact with its magnificent people.

PEPY Tours' offerings should be viewed as adventures first and volunteer opportunities second. PEPY wants travellers to experience a true adventure and also have a chance togive back to the magnificent people and areas they visit. With PEPY Tours, volunteers will have the opportunity to visit the programs and projects of our partner organizations first-hand as well as to join activities that are part of our PEPY's overall goal: improving education.
