Evangel professors Colleen Hardy and Bud Greve recently took a group of education majors to Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville, Cambodia, to provide training to teachers there. The training focused on using higher order thinking skills in science instruction.

“This experience provided a wonderful opportunity for our Evangel education students to share their instructional skills with the teachers in Cambodia,” says Hardy. “The training sessions were beneficial to our students as well as the teachers in Cambodia.”

The group included:
• Colleen Hardy, education department chair and associate professor of education
• Bud Greve, professor of education
• Adrienne Arner, senior, mathematics education, from Fair Grove
• Heidi Bartels, junior, elementary/middle school major from Willard
• Rachel Cancino-Singer, junior, elementary education major from Phoenix, Ariz.
• Courtney Ford, junior, early childhood major from Atascadero, Calif.
• Holly Kentner, senior, elementary education major from Lee’s Summit
• Ashley Magaard, senior, biology education from St. Cloud, Minn.
• Martha Netteler, senior, elementary education major from Sikeston
