Rearranged CPL fixtures due to international commitments of U19 team members in the recent Youth Championships in Vietnam, as well as Phnom Penh Crown's trip to Singapore for the Singapore Cup quarterfinals August 26 mean a midweek double-header today at Olympic Stadium. First up, at 2pm, is a classic contest between storied rivals Phnom Penh Crown and Khemara Keila. Both have a chance to go top above Preah Khan Reach (PKR) with victory today, although Khemara will need to win by two clear goals or more to beat PKR's goal difference. In the season's first-half fixture, the teams got stuck in the mud, ending in a goalless draw. Today's second game at 4pm sees National Defence Ministry (MND) take on Spark FC. Though the result will not have an affect on league standings, MND will want to push further from the drop zone, and Spark will want to consolidate their fifth place, which commands a 5 million-riel (US$1,201) cash prize come the end of the season.
