The Cambodian U23 national team were held to a 1-1 draw by the foreign players' team San Siro on Tuesday morning. National team coach Scott O'Donell had arranged the game to help prepare the squad for the SEA Games in Laos in December, but had a choice of just 13 players from a potential squad of 25 due to injury and Phnom Penh Crown's Singapore Cup excursion. Cambodia got off to a flying start, with Prak Monyoudom taking just two minutes to open the scoring. The Khemara striker timed his run to perfection to beat the offside trap before picking his spot. San Siro fought back but couldn't find a way through, entering the break behind by a goal. Both sides came out strongly in the second half, although several chances were squandered. The game seemed destined to end 1-0, but a San Siro player was brought down inside the box in the dying minutes to allow former Khemara defender Paris Zidougha to convert the penalty, and end the tie in a draw.
