GLOBAL accountancy firm KPMG recorded 17.5 percent revenue growth for its Cambodia and Vietnam operations this fiscal year, making Asia-Pacific its strongest-performing region.
KPMG’s Phnom Penh, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi offices defied global trends to expand in the year ending September 30 as global company revenues tumbled an annualised 11.4 percent, according to a press release Sunday.
“The results reflect the resilience and expanding opportunities among developing markets, particularly in Asia,” Timothy P Flynn, chairman of KPMG International, said.
The Asia-Pacific region was the Swiss multinational’s best performer, with member firms achieving combined revenues of US$3.07 billion, the statement said.
Cambodian revenues were not given, and KPMG’s Phnom Penh office declined to comment Monday. An unnamed female worker cited company confidentiality, adding that details would first have to be approved by the country head, who was away.
