SULLEY’S FOR SALE: A massive stuffed toy known as “Sulley” from Monsters Inc. will be raffled during a garage sale to be held on Saturday, July 3. Proceeds from the raffle and garage sale being organised by Vernon Street resident Halina Hebb, pictured with the stuffed toy, will aid orphans in Cambodia and Vietnam.
A GARAGE sale to be held on Saturday, July 3, will raise money for orphans in Cambodia and Vietnam.
Local resident Halina Hebb, who held a similar garage sale last year, is again keen to raise as much money as possible.
Money raised from the garage sale will buy food and essentials for orphan children.
“They literally struggle from day to day,” she said.
“A lot of them only get two meals a day.”
Halina already has loads of household goods for the sale, and has also made more than 200 jars of jam.
A massive stuffed toy called “Sulley” from Monsters Inc. will also be raffled during the day.
Anything locals can donate can be dropped off at Halina’s home at 37 Vernon Street.
Halina has run the garage sale and donation of goods to the orphans as part of a golf trip she and her husband, Des, go on. Last year, while Des was taking part in the golfing events, Halina, a non-golfer was busy delivering food to orphanages and hospitals.
