A Chinese company plans to pump $3 billion into Cambodian energy, property, and aluminum processing projects, an official said on Thursday.
The proposed investment by China Inner Mongolia Erdos Hongjun Investment Co emerged after a meeting on Wednesday in Phnom Penh.
The firm plans to build a 700-megawatt coal power plant in the popular seaside resort of Sihanoukville.
