The number of people involved in road accidents in Phnom Penh fell by 32 percent in February compared with the previous month, the Cambodia Road Traffic Accident and Victim Information System (RTAVIS) said in its most recent report. The data, which are collected from various hospitals, health centres, private clinics and traffic police departments, found 471 people were victims of road traffic accidents, including 21 fatalities and 101 cases of severe injuries in the capital. Nationwide, 155 people died in 670 road traffic accidents, while 526 others were severely injured, a 23 percent decline in the total number of accidents from January.
