The Camico Insurance firm has come in for criticism over a delayed payout.
A 2003 Corolla belonging to Kang Sothun, a soldier stationed at Preah Vihear, who was involved in an accident in mid-September. The company agreed to pay for repairs amounting to US$650 but has yet to pay.
Kang Sothun suggested that US$2,000 would be a more appropriate sum.
“I would like to ask for … the Cambodian Ministry for the Comme- rce to please observe all services of the Insurance Companies, especially the CAMINCO Company,” he added.
