Former French military equestrian instructor Pascal Hernandez now teaches horse riding at Siem Reap’s Happy Ranch, and is organising a three-part jumping competition in November and December.
Hernandez said he chose a jumping competition over the more standard dressage competitions because jumping is visually entertaining and more challenging for riders.
The competitions will be on Sunday November 22, December 13 and January 10.
Riders can enter one or all of the competitions and the entry fee is US$6 for one, or $15 to complete the full three-part jumping challenge.
The competition caters for beginner and intermediate levels, as well as children.
Hernandez, 29, arrived in Cambodia in March 2008 to work at a riding school in Phnom Penh. He moved to Siem Reap in May this year.
