Nhan Dan Online- The Cambodia Culture Week in Vietnam will be held from December 23 to 29 with the participation of 30 artists from the Cambodia Art Troupe.
The week will start with an opening ceremony to be organised at the Hanoi Opera House. Cambodian artists will introduce to Vietnamese audiences special dances such as Tevet royal dance, Suoy traditional pan-pine dance...
Apart from performances at the Hanoi Opera House on December 23, the Military Theatre in Hanoi on December 25, and August Theatre in Haiphong on December 27, the week also includes exhibitions and film shows which aim to introduce to Vietnamese people the traditional folk art and culture of Cambodian people.
The first Cambodia Culture Week was held in 2007 with various activities held in Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces of Binh Duong, Can Tho and Soc Trang.
The event is organised by the Performing Art Centre, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam.
