Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen announced on Monday that Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping will officially visit in Cambodia to strengthen bilateral ties and ink agreements.
The Chinese vice president will visit December 20-21, Premier Hun Sen said at a ceremony of a US$280 million hydropower plant in Kampot province built by Chinese investment.
Both sides will hold bilateral talks in Phnom Penh on December 20 and sides will ink agreements, he added. On December 21, the Chinese vice president will travel to Siem Reap province, he said.
“We thank the Chinese government for their contributions for investment and grant aid and loans for economic growth and the development of the country,” he stressed. China has poured billions of US dollars into Cambodian infrastructure.
