Cambodia's Prime Minister Hun Sen's will visit four sites during his visit starting this weekend, including Tamoen Thom Castle which is in the Thai territory.
Foreign Minister's secretary Chawanont Indhrakomarnsut said Friday that he was informed that that Hun Sen will travel to Emerald Triangle, Chong Bok, Tamoen Thom Castle and Preah Vihear Temple.
The visit will start on Saturday until Tuesday.
"Hun Sen is free to visit any places which are in the Cambodian territory. But he would not allow to do so if if a place is in the Thai soil," Chawanont said.
Tamoen Thom Castle is in the Thai soil and is under control of the Thai army.
Referring to the Thai-Cambodian disputed zone near Preah Vihear Temple, Chawanont said any entering to the zone would have to have permission from both countries.
Earlier reports claimed that Hun Sen will visit 4.6-square-km disputed zone near Preah Vihear. Rumours spread that convicted Thai PM Thaksin Shinawatra, who was appointed as Hun Sen's economic adviser will join the trip.
Referring to a news report that Cambodia has granted citizenship to Thaksin, Chawanont said the ministry had checked the report with the Cambodian Embassy in Thailand. It claimed the Cambodian government has not yet informed the embassy about it.
