DELAY IN CASE OF CITY DRIVER WHO STRUCK GIRL
Officials in Phnom Penh’s Tuol Kork district have abruptly postponed legal action against an apparently well-connected driver who struck a seven-year-old girl with her car. The driver ran into the girl on Saturday near a market in Tuol Kork. The driver was called into the district police station. But instead of showing up herself, other police officers came to deal with the case, claiming to represent her. As a result, the district police postponed investigating the case.
