Motorists and pedestrians pass a section of the old Monivong Bridge in Meanchey district that was damaged when a Toyota Camry rammed into it well before dawn yesterday morning. “We don’t know what time the accident happened, but we saw the car stuck through the guardrail at around 3am,” said Lo Phearum, the police chief in Chbar Ampov II commune. He declined to say whether the driver or any passengers were injured, but said the car had been handed over to municipal traffic police.
