The Indian Embassy tonight released a statement saying that it is seeking a clarification from the Foreign Ministry regarding Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya's remarks related to India on the situation along Thai-Cambodian border.
Kasit later informed the Indian ambassador Pinak Ranchan Chakravarty that the remarks were a result of sufficient information. During the Senate testimony on Wednesday, Kasit included India among those countries that might have back Cambodia's aggression against Thailand on February 4.
He also expressed appreciation for the balance and constructive position of India on this matter.
