The Cambodian Ministry of Water Resource and Meteorology (MWRM) announced on Tuesday that Cambodia will soon see bad weather because of a front covering Burma, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, as well as the North China Sea and Hainan Island.

“On September 8, 2009, the lowest speed system pace in 1,006 victors, the valley was lowest and the monsoon winds from the southwest were at a speed of about 20-23 a km/hour, with gusts of up to 54 km/hour. There was rain and lightning in the northeastern provinces like Ratanakkiri, Stung Treng, Kratie and Kampong Cham provinces,” an MWRM official said. Preah Sihanouk, Kep, Kampot, and Koh Kong will also see lighting storms and heavy rain.
For September 9 and 10, another low speed system will cover the northwest region, causing the sky to darken and bringing strong winds and speed from 20-32 a km/hour, the cities and provinces of Pailin, Battam- bang, Siem Reap, Pursat, Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Thom, Banteay Meanchey and Phnom Kravanh will be impacted.
All Cambodian travelers, whether by road, ship or air, should take extra care because the weather will be very changeable over the next few days, according to the MWRM.
Those in northwest and northeast Cambodia should be ready for extreme weather take precautions to protect their houses as soon as possible, according to MWRM officials.
Lightning has killed many Cambodians this year, especially in Pursat province.
