PHNOM PENH, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia will host World Organization Volleyball for Disabled (WOVD) World Cup 2009 in Phnom Penh on Dec. 15-20, official news agency AKP reported on Monday.
This event is organized by the Cambodian National Volleyball League Disabled (CNVLD) and supported by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, it said.
Christopher Minko, general secretary of CNVLD, told reporters last week that six countries - Germany, Slovakia, Poland, Malaysia, Laos and Cambodia - had decided to join the tournament, but Canadaand Vietnam had not replied yet.
The Cambodian players have been selected from ten teams in Cambodia, he added.
Cambodia had hosted such a tournament in 2007.
