The European Union has made available US$5.5 million to civil society groups to implement projects aimed at alleviating poverty. According to a press release Sunday, the contribution is aimed at helping Cambodia achieve sustainable development. Organisations wishing to receive funding for projects must submit an application form to the European Commission by March 16. Priority will be given to "community development, land-use planning, non-formal education and primary health" projects.
