Khmer Eysann held on to a nervy 7-6 victory over bottom Panda FC in their final-round match Saturday to clinch the 2009 FFC Hello Futsal League title. Khmer Eysann finished on top of the league with just one loss from their seven games, and received 6 million riels (US$1,443) as champions along with 400,000 for the fair play award. “It was our great honour to be this year’s champions,” stated skipper Ly Vireak. “We played well with determination from start to the end.” Rama Holding Group won their second consecutive runners-up placing after beating Olympic Youth 9-5 Saturday, and received a prize of 4 million riels. Khmer Super Red delivered a 19-5 spanking to Tuol Sangker All Star to take third place and 2.8 million riels, with hotshot captain Suon Thun netting eight on his way to becoming the league’s top scorer with 30 goals and earning the 400,000 riels prize.
