Mothers and Children in Cambodian Prison Drawings

Cambodian prison cells are often overcrowded, in which case prisoners cannot even lie down to sleep.
To feed their children, Cambodian prisoners are often obliged to share their rations.
Female prisoners who bring their children to live in prison with them are not given any extra food.
Family visiting prisoners must give bribes to prison guards to meet with their relatives and are not allowed privacy.
Throughout the years, LICADHO has collected serious allegations that prison guards beat the prisoners, sometimes in front of children.
