The Cambodian Centre for Human Rights says it is concerned over the Cambodian People's Party's efforts to stifle freedom of expression for opposition parliamentarians. "The behaviour of the majority lawmakers from the CPP is abusing the opposition parties' freedom of expression," said a statement issued Monday. The statement came a week after Human Rights Party President Kem Sokha and Sam Rainsy Party lawmaker Yim Sovann were denied access to the Preah Vihear temple by military leaders stationed there.
