PM Leaves for China Visit

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen is on Thursday leading a delegation to China to attend the opening ceremony of the 10th Western China International Economy and Trade Fair (WCIETF), and to pay a working visit from October 15 to 17 to Chengdu, Sichuan, according to a Thursday press release from the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“During this visit, premier Hun Sen will meet with Wen Jiabao, head of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China and receive courtesy call by Liu Qibao, Secretary of Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of the People’s Republic of China,” the press release said. Loan agreements are also expected to be signed during the visit.

“The 10th Western China Inter-national Economy and Trade Fair, which has the Theme of Grasping Opportunities Coping with Challenges, Enhancing Opening Up and Cooperation for Win-Win, will highlight Pan Asia Economic Exchange and Cooperation, Promoting Trade and Investment Growth,” the press release concluded.
