Surya Prasad Subedi to End His Visit in Cambodia

CAMBODIA, PHNOM PENH, June 16, 2010- The United Nation Independent Special reporter on Human rights in Cambodia Mr. Surya Prasad Subedi on Thursday of June 17, 2010 will end his 3rd visit in Cambodia.

Mr. Surya Prasad Subedi on Wednesday morning met for talks about the jobs with Hor Nam Hong, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

"It is not known that the meeting for talks between Prime Minister Hun Sen and Mr. Surya Prasad Subedi on Thursday morning at the Council of Ministers will be cancelled," according to the source from the government's officials said.

Mr. Surya Prasad Subedi will pay his 3rd 10-day visit to Cambodia and during his stay in Cambodia, and he has met with Civil Society Organization's officials, but has not met for any talks with the Opposition Party's officials even they have tried to make an appointment with him.

"Mr. Surya Prasad Subedi on Thursday evening will hold a press conference after ending his official visit in Cambodia at the office of Beung Keng Kang II precinct in Chamkarmon district," According to the statement of the United Nations High Commissioner on Human Rights in Cambodia said.

It was noticed that his 3rd visit to Cambodia will reflect the objectives of trying to understand the Royal Government of Cambodia's court and justice system.

Cambodia Rejected Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Accusations

CAMBODIA, PHNOM PENH, June 16, 2010-The Royal Government of Cambodia's Officials completely rejected Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs' accusations that 2 Thai Red-Shirt protesters' leaders had hid themselves from the police in one of the casinos in Poi Peit City after they had escaped from the arrest of Bangkok's authority. "Thai National Security Division confirmed that Thai Red Shirt Leaders Mr. Arisman Phoungreungrong and Mr. Sophan Athavong had escaped and hid themselves from the Thai police in one of the casinos in Poi Peit City in Cambodia. Now Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not yet received any official reports that both of them will go abroad, "according to ASTV Online's Report said.

Mr. Tith Sothea, Advisor of the Royal Government of Cambodia and spokesman of information and quick reaction unit of the Council of Ministers on Wednesday of June 16, 2010 told DAP News Center that the Royal Government of Cambodia has completely rejected Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs' accusations. "We absolutely denied any Thailand's accusations that both Thai Red Shirt Leaders had infiltrated into Cambodia," he added.

Many U.S Investment Companies Looking at Investment Possibilities in Cambodia

Cambodia, PHNOM PENH, June 16, 2010- Many U.S bigger Investment Companies are looking closely at the possibilities of investment in Cambodia's potential markets.

"A group of U.S business delegates on Monday of June 14 to 15, 2010 came to visit Cambodia in order to improve the investment atmosphere in Cambodia and to further understand Cambodia's markets for a number of news companies," according to U.S ASEAN business council's confirmations said.

"It was noticed that Cambodia could earn more than 2000 million U.S dollars a year from the exportation of goods to the United States while the United States could possibly earn less than 200 million U.S dollars from the importation of goods into Cambodia," according to the last figures said.
