Binh Phuoc gives ostriches to Cambodia

The southern province of Binh Phuoc has plans to donate 40 breeding ostriches worth over VND560 million to Cambodia’s provinces, an official said on July 21.

According to Pham Van Hoang, director of the provincial Agriculture-Fishery Promotion Centre, so far, Binh Phuoc province has sent 20 ostriches to Karatie province and is preparing to transfer another 20 for Kampongthom province and the customs office at Trapaing Sre border gate.

Hoang said this centre has bred these ostriches over recent years, adding that Binh Phuoc province will also send staff to the units which receive ostriches to guide them in the techniques for ostrich care and building breeding facilities.

The centre also gave 100,000 cashew saplings to the provinces of Karatie, Mulduikiri, Kampongthom, Kompongcham and Stung Steang in Cambodia.
