TransAct to distribute Square One solar tech

TEXAS-based TransAct Energy Corp has secured manufacturing, distribution and sales rights in Asia, including Cambodia, for solar technology designed by Canada-based Square One Solar Systems Inc. TransAct said in a press release it had been looking for a solar technology that could was efficient but could be produced cheaply.

Guangxi ore listing CHINA’S state-owned

Guangxi Nonferrous Metals Group plans to list a Cambodian iron ore project it claims is worth 2 billion yuan (US$295 million) in Hong Kong, according to Reuters news agency. The firm reportedly signed six deals worth 5.35 billion yuan last week, including iron ore and gold projects in the Kingdom. Guangxi Nonferrous Metals could not be contacted for comment.

Transvestite ad award

PHNOM Penh-based advertising production firm Avalon has received an award for its “Transvestite” TV commercial from America’s International Academy of the Visual Arts. The commercial – which advertised men’s and women’s fragrances in the second quarter 2009 – won the award in the low-budget commercials category, the firm stated in a press release.
