Thailand's Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva on Monday thanked the Cambodian government for handing over two bomb suspects to Thai authorities, the Nation online reported.

The two Thai suspects, who have been accused of being involved in the bomb attack at the major coalition Bhum Jai Thai Party (BJT) on June 22, were sent back to Thailand earlier on Monday.

"We must thank the Cambodian government for the cooperation and we will seek more cooperation if there are other people involved," Abhisit said.

According to the Thai News Agency's (TNA) report, Abhisit said the latest move by Combodia is a good start to restoration of bilateral ties, which have deteriorated after late last year's diplomatic spat between the two neighboring countries.

Both countries have recalled their ambassadors, after a formal appointment of fugitive ex-Thai premier Thaksin Shinawatra as an economic advisor to the Cambodian government and personal advisor to Prime Minister Hun Sen.
